Corevelos

Templates

Boot a sandbox with a popular agent or tool preinstalled, or build your own custom image. Every template runs in its own hardware-isolated MicroVM.

A template is a sandbox image with an agent or tool already installed. Boot one and you get a running, hardware-isolated MicroVM in about 128 ms, ready to use.

Using a template

Pass a template id when you create a sandbox:

import { Sandbox } from "@corevelos/sdk";

const box = await Sandbox.create({ template: "opencode" });
await box.commands.run("opencode --help");

From the CLI:

npx @corevelos/cli sandbox create --template opencode

Every template is a normal sandbox once it boots: run commands, read and write files, snapshot, fork, pause, and resume it. See Sandboxes.

New templates are added regularly. Any agent or tool can run on Corevelos, even if it is not listed here, by packaging it as a custom image.

Custom templates

Bring your own environment as a custom template, built two ways:

  • From a Docker image. Point Corevelos at a Dockerfile or image and it becomes a bootable sandbox template.
  • With an AI agent. Describe the environment you need and have an agent build the image for you.

Custom templates boot into the same hardware-isolated MicroVM as the prebuilt ones.
